Built in 1884 and destroyed by fire in 1907. The original church in Abbeville was the home of Joseph LeBlanc and Isabelle Broussard in 1844. This church was destroyed by a hurricane in 1856.
A second church was built in 1856. The third church above was built on the current site of the fourth church. The fourth church was built in 1911.
